Special Education & Health Advocacy

Welcome! Monarch Advocacy ltd. is here to empower caregivers and help them gain the knowledge and skills needed to be the best special education and health advocates they can be through direct supports, such as: creating advocacy files; organizing hard and digital documents; research; establishing appropriate communication with team members; drafting documents; parent support during meetings. 

Child Advocate, Catherine Zawaideh,  holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Criminalistics from Xavier University, a M.S. in Criminal Justice with concentrations in Analysis of Criminal Behavior and Correctional Rehabilitation from University of Cincinnati as well as a Paralegal Certificate with concentrations in Special Education Law, Criminal Law, and Tort Law from Duke University.  Catherine has over a decade in various child advocacy roles in dependency court, juvenile justice, health care, special education in both private and public schools as well as created advocacy training curriculum for a local nonprofit. Additionally, Catherine is the Vice Chair of a local public school Advisory Commission and holds an Executive Board Member position with a local nonprofit. 

As a parent of two children on IEPs, one child being medically fragile, Catherine understands the struggles caregivers face advocating for what is in the best interest of their child, and the impact health and education has on a child's quality of life. We would love to partner with you to ensure your child's health and education needs are being considered and met as well as help you be an empowered advocate for your child, for years to come.

Establishing Advocacy Plan & File
One hour appointment to establish an advocacy plan to best meet the needs of the child, while supporting caregivers, as well as organize advocacy file.
60 minutes   $100.00

In-Person Meeting
Appointment to attend an in-person team meeting.
60 minutes   $100.00

General Half Hour 
Appointment to discuss ongoing advocacy, file management, or to attend a virtual team meeting.
30 minutes   $50.00

General Full Hour
Appointment to discuss ongoing advocacy, file management, or to attend a virtual team meeting.
60 minutes   $75.00

Retain For Advocacy Services
Monarch Advocacy organizes and manages advocacy file as well as provides other related services. Retainer fee is determined based on the extensiveness of the needs.
